The OC Makes it Easy to Shop Local This Holiday Season
There’s something very comforting about driving over the bridge at night, which is anytime after 4:30 these days, and seeing the holiday light display at the Ship Bottom boat ramp. Or the beauty of the glowing homes in Beach Haven West with the lights reflecting off the bay on a calm night. Saturday is the big Ship Bottom Christmas parade.

It certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas, or any joyous holiday we celebrate, here on LBI. And among the celebrations and gatherings, we all have to get that shopping finished. Or in some cases, we have to get it started.
Fortunately, we have a ton of great options in our area - independent, family owned businesses that have great gifts for everyone on your list, who we love to support for the holidays.

This year, we’ve made an effort to help make your holiday shopping a little easier for both retail and online shopping, whichever you prefer. We’ve updated our online store with all of our offerings.

We’ve got some great new items this year like socks - yep… awesome Black Whale, Mud City, Bird & Betty’s and Old Causeway socks for sports and outings this time of year that also look great with a pair of shorts in the summer. In fact, all of our establishments now have exciting apparel lines that reflect our lives here from the youthful retro energy of Bird & Betty’s to the baymen feel of Mud City and Ship Bottom Shellfish or the more classic wear of the Old Causeway and Parker’s Garage, not to mention so much great new gear from the Whale.

We’ve organized our site so that you can now shop by establishment, even for the spots that close for the season. Does your family absolutely love going to Mud City in the summer? You can now shop specifically for Mud apparel. Want to get everyone in your family great ceramic campfire mugs this holiday? Shop specifically for mugs.
And best of all, we’ve created some Bundles and Super Bundles for each restaurant that include different variations of all our gear complete with gift cards.

Speaking of gift cards, those have been updated too for your convenience. In addition to the Ship Bottom Shellfish gift card that is now online, you can get a gift card for use at Mud City or Old Causeway and the Beach Haven gift card, good at Parker’s Garage, the Black Whale and Bird & Betty’s. We sell the Bach Haven gift card at the Old Causeway year round so if you’re on the mainland, we save you a trip to the South End.
And as always, the OC will be open from 10 am - 3 pm on Christmas Eve for you last minute shoppers (bar only, no food) with gift cards for all of our eateries.
